365 Days of Exercise Ground Rules

Posted on 2009-12-28 15:15:00

I've had several people respond that they want to do the challenge with me.  I love it.  It gives me even more motivation to do this.  I was trying to talk my wife, Beth, into doing the challenge as well, but she thought it would be too hard because of our 11 month old son.  But, after visiting her mother and using her Wii Fit, she said,"If I had one of these I think I could do it."  So, I went out and bought one that day. Wow, what a great gaming system.  The Nintendo Wii is going to make this challenge 10x better than it was before.  I can do boxing, yoga, pilates, hula-hoop and so many more all from home sweet home.  I've been testing out the system and beginning 01/01/10 I will be exercising daily and then blogging daily to record my progress.

365 Days of Exercise Ground Rules

I've been thinking about the ground rules for my 2010 challenge.  I want to do some type of physical activity everyday for 365 days until 2011.  The activity could be anything from lifting weights, riding a bike, or going for a walk.  My time frame will be at least 30 minutes per day to qualify for my challenge.  I begin on 01/01/2010.

365 Days of Exercise in 2010

Posted on 2009-12-21 10:14:48

I was inspired by the movie "Julia and Julia" to use a blog to help me accomplish a goal in 2010.  My wife, Beth, and I rang in 2009 with our first child, Christopher.  It was a wonderful year full of excitement and challenges as we watched Christopher grow and accomplish new things almost on a daily basis.  The two of us had are ups and downs as new parents as we juggled working full time and spending time with Christopher.  I found that walking from my office into the gym to exercise became a low, low, low priority.  In fact, I have only exercised a handful of times in the last year and I have the "baby" fat to show for it. So my goal for 2010 is to use this blog as an accountability tool to keep me exercising 7 days a week.
