1 for 7. Ouch. What a rough week. We all three got hit with the stomach flu and missed quite a bit of work and school. I did get one day of exercise this weekend when I moved all of our furniture so that Frank's Carpet Care could clean our carpets. After Christopher projectile vomited over most of the living room it had to be done. Thank you Frank for coming over on a Saturday to get the smell out of our carpet. My exercise goals for 2010 have had serious wrench thrown in the mix. Tomorrows a new week and there is still plenty of time to get back on track. I set a huge goal and I can't let these set backs stop me.

So, the daily blogging thing is a little tiresome. I'm running out of things to write on a daily basis. I think I'll switch to a weekly blog and recount how I did for the week. I'm still going to exercise 30 minutes everyday, just blog at the end of week on how I did. This last week I spent Sunday and Monday pushing my son around on his new fire truck (actually very tiring, ask my wife). Tuesday and Wednesday I used the Wii, and Thursday and Friday I did a half an hour of spin class. Spin is a cycling class that usually goes for an hour. I only went half way so that I could still walk afterward. To anybody else out there pursuing a resolution, keep going. This is the time when most burn out. Just keep going.

I'm late on posting, but I did exercise. We had Christopher's first Birthday party, and I forgot to go online and blog. But I did get 30 minutes in Saturday morning before his party. His actual birthday is Tuesday January 19th.

I went and to the doctor today and got antibiotics for a sinus infection. I missed yesterday because of it, but I did exercise today. I got to push through this weekend and get my 30 minutes a day in. I have missed two Thursdays in a row. Must be something about Thursday. I have to break that trend next week. 30 minutes a day is a little harder than I thought.

I wrote a few days ago that I was going to work out in the gym, but I'm enjoying the Wii Fit too much. I'm trying to speed up the workouts and do some more of the strength training activities. I did push-ups, planks, side planks, side lunges, bridges, and jackknives. Good work-out. I still haven't lost a pound. I actually have gained a pound. I want to lose 10lbs by July.

Beth and I got to workout together today. We did Wii Fit Yoga. We had to see who had the better downward facing dog. She won.

Today I did Wii Boxing. This is probably the best work-out on the game. I really broke a sweat and was breathing hard.

Well, there we go, I'm not perfect. I had a long day at work on Thursday, went to meet a friend to watch the Alabama/Texas game and didn't exercise. Although my friend Scott had a good point, I did do a lot of 16oz curls, but that wasn't on my list qualifying of activities. I told my wife before I started this that my goal was not to be perfect and never miss a day, but try my best to live an active healthy life 7 days a week. So, with some encouragement from Beth I started back on Friday (day 8) with Wii Fit. I've been putting off writing this because I felt bad that I missed. I didn't blog yesterday because I felt bad, but now that I exercised today I feel better and back on track.

Having a baby made me gain 10lbs. I didn't realize how out of shape I was. I've been struggling to exercise 30 minutes a day, but I'm starting to turn the corner. I feel more energy today. I did 30 minutes of Yoga on the Wii. The first month of starting any exercise program is always the hardest. I just have to keep going. Baby steps.

Almost didn't make it today. I was tired. I just did an hour of Wii Sports. The sports isn't as intense but I needed something fun to get me through today. So, instead of 30 minutes I did an hour. I finished just after 11pm. Time for bed.

I felt like I was 71 today. I didn't make it into the gym today. My cold is still bugging me and I didn't have a lot of energy. Instead I went for a walk around the park by our house with Beth and Christopher. We went about a mile and a half which took us 30 minutes. I guess I haven't walked a mile in a long time because half way through our walk my legs were talking to me. I couldn't believe it. I told Beth how pitiful I was that this short walk was getting to me. I need to do that more often to build up my strength. I don't walk very much because I have severe cartilage damage in both knees, but I need to be able to walk for at least 30 minutes without cramping up. I'm only 31 years old.

Wii makes exercising soo much more fun. But, it's not the same as going to the gym. Starting tomorrow I'm hitting the gym. Today I did my 30 minutes on Wii Fit. I did a step class, kung fu, and rode a bicycle around an island. It's still better than nothing.

Today I did 30 minutes on the Wii Fit. I did hula hoop, bicycle riding, juggling, skiing, and other balance games. I still have a head cold. I have to pick up the workout intensity in a couple of days when I'm feeling better. But, I feel good that I'm starting the new year off right!

Day 1: I'm starting 2010 in rough way. I caught another cold but I am committed to completing my goal. Beth and I just finished 30 minutes on the Wii. We did squats, lunges, jump squats, jump lunges, triceps, biceps and shoulders. I did not have a lot of energy for this workout because of the cold, but I did it. The best part was that I got to do it with my wife. Let's keep it up honey.
