Choices for Care
CHOICES FOR
CARE
RELIEF CARE
Most patients consult our office
because they have an ache or a pain. The
patient’s goal: relief. That is our
first objective. A thorough examination
reveals areas of spinal dysfunction or misalignment. Then, we offer a care plan designed to give
you the best results in the shortest amount of time. Visits are frequent during this period of
intensive care. This period is typically
3-4 visits in a one to two week time period. Each visit builds on the ones before, so keep your appointments to get
the best results. Relief care may or may
not relieve your pain completely. If
improvements are made but pain is still present, we want to move into
corrective care to strengthen your spine.
Relief
Care: 2-3 times per week.
CORRECTIVE CARE
When your pain levels are lowered, we
will begin you on corrective care to retrain and reeducate the muscles that
support your spine. This is an extremely
important part to prevent re-injury. Even after you begin to feel better soft tissues (muscle, tendons, and
ligaments) are still healing. Corrective
care will strengthen your spinal muscles so that you hold your adjustments
longer. Corrective care may take 4-12
weeks depending on your condition. We
re-evaluate every four weeks to determine if we need to continue.
Corrective
Care: 1-2 times per week.
MAINTENANCE CARE
Maintenance care is for people with
chronic conditions such as arthritis or other major injuries. Maintenance care is designed to maintain
spinal movement, lower pain levels, and keep the quality of life you desire. Monthly maintenance keeps people with chronic
problems functioning at a higher level so they can focus on the more important
things in life (i.e. God, family, and friends).
Maintenance
Care: 1-4 times per month.
WELLNESS CARE
Wellness care is what Chiropractic is really all about.
This care helps you get the most out of your body for the rest of your life. Getting your spine tuned up periodically is
just like getting the oil changed in your car, it’s going to run better and
last longer. Maintaining your spinal
health allows the nervous system to function at its best, thus realizing your
highest level of total health. You may
develop a stronger immune system, higher energy levels, better sleep patterns,
clearer mental focus and a higher quality of life.
Wellness
Care: 2-4 times per year.
